Ian Harper is an Australian economist who served as a member of the Reserve Bank of Australia Monetary Policy Board and, before it, the Reserve Bank Board. His term on the Monetary Policy Board concluded on 31 August 2026. He is known for his academic work in economics and for chairing a national review of competition policy.
