HE Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain

HE Jassim bin Rashid Al Buenain is a Qatari football administrator and prominent figure in regional sports governance. He earned a bachelor's degree in administrative science and economics from Qatar University in 2004 and earned an Executive MBA from Plymouth University in 2016. Born November 7, 1982, Al Buenain brings substantial experience as a professional footballer for 12 years and sports administrator.

Since October 2017, Al Buenain has been chairman of the Qatar Olympic Academy and secretary general of the Qatar Olympic Committee. He has been vice-president of the Olympic Council of Asia since January 2021. In his current role, he works closely with Qatar's 23 National Federations on evaluating their strong pathways from grassroots through to the elite level and has been a key figure behind the delivery of world-class events in an array of sports.
