Eng Yaqoob bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Kiyumi

Eng. Yaqoob bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Kiyumi was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SalamAir, effective October 1, 2026. Al Kiyumi is an Omani energy sector executive transitioning from his current role as CEO of Oman Power and Water Procurement Co.

Al Kiyumi brings over 20 years of experience in different sectors in both technical and leadership roles. He previously worked for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Occidental Oman in the oil and gas industry, and had extensive exposure in the manufacturing industry at Sohar Aluminum prior to joining OPWP. Educationally, he obtained his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Coventry University in the UK and is a graduate of the first cohort of the National CEO program. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Hull.
