Dr. Samir J. Serhan

Dr. Samir J. Serhan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Acwa, the world's largest private water desalination company and a leader in renewable energy and green hydrogen, effective March 1, 2026. As CEO, he is responsible for the company's global strategy and operations spanning 15 markets. He previously served as President of Saudi Arabia and the Middle East, overseeing seven key markets including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan, and Iraq.

Dr. Serhan brings more than three decades of global leadership experience across large-scale industrial and infrastructure organizations, with a strong track record in driving operational transformation, strengthening institutional capability, and delivering disciplined and profitable growth in complex, capital-intensive environments.
