Donald Tang

Donald Tang is a Chinese-American billionaire businessman who serves as Senior Adviser at Shein Group, a global online on-demand fashion retailer, after stepping down as Executive Chairman. Born in 1963 in Shanghai, China, where his parents were college professors, Tang immigrated to Los Angeles at age 18 in 1982. He graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, in 1986 with a chemical engineering degree, working restaurant jobs to finance his education.

Tang acted as the Western proxy of secretive Shein founder Sky Xu, liaising with politicians and regulators around the world during his tenure as Chairman.
