Donald Sinclair is chairman of the board of directors of Buckeye Partners, the United States pipeline and terminals operator owned by the IFM Global Infrastructure Fund. He has more than 40 years of experience in the American midstream energy sector.
He was president and chief executive officer of Western Gas Partners from 2009 to 2017 and a senior vice president of Anadarko Petroleum. He was earlier president of Duke Energy Trading and Marketing and senior vice president and chief risk officer of Dynegy, and he co-founded Ceritas Energy, where he was president from 2003 to 2009. He holds a BBA in management from Texas Tech, awarded in 1980, and was appointed to the Board of Regents of the Texas Tech University System in March 2025.
