Datuk Ahmad Redza Abdullah

Datuk Ahmad Redza Abdullah is the newly appointed Chairman of Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB), Malaysia's national railway operator. He is the co-founder of the renowned law firm Messrs Shahrizat Rashid & Lee and currently heads REC (Redza Eleena Chong) Legal as its managing partner. With more than three decades of experience in handling high-profile litigation cases and providing strategic corporate advisory, Ahmad Redza is tasked with further strengthening KTMB's governance landscape and invigorating its corporate transformation.

Ahmad Redza read law at the University of London, England, and holds a Certificate of Legal Practice, having been called to the Malaysian Bar in 1989. He began his legal career as an associate with the established firm Messrs Shook Lin Bok, handling constitutional matters and political disputes before being appointed Head of Litigation at Messrs NK Tan Rahim. Later, he established his own practice as Messrs Shahrizat Tan, dealing with civil and corporate disputes, constitutional and international law. In 2003, the firm merged to form Shahrizat Rashid Lee, where he served as Deputy Managing Partner and Head of Litigation.

Throughout his career, Ahmad Redza has guided and represented local and international companies on various key issues involving corporate restructuring, shareholder disputes, as well as litigation in strategic sectors such as construction and banking. In recognition for his services to the nation, Ahmad Redza was conferred the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP) in 2013.
