Clair Turketo

Clair Turketo was appointed Managing Director, Client Solutions at Carne Group, Europe's largest independent third-party management company, effective October 1, 2025. She brings over 18 years of experience in US and European fund products and structures, compliance, regulations, financial crime, and governance, with deep expertise in private market investments and fund structuring. Based in New York, she focuses on connecting US-based asset managers with Carne's European platform and distribution capabilities across private and public market funds, as well as active and passive ETFs.

Her career includes senior roles at Cerberus and Blackstone in New York, as well as at KKR, BlackRock, Gartmore, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management in London. At KKR, she served as Principal, European Public Markets Compliance Officer, and at BlackRock she worked as a fixed income product strategist. Prior to financial services, she worked in oil and gas in Dallas and foreign policy in Canberra, Australia.

She holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Asian Studies (Japanese) from the Australian National University. Her professional certifications include the Certified Information Privacy Professional – United States (CIPP/US), Series 63 and Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) from FINRA, and the Investment Management Certificate from CFA UK. More recently, she earned the Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMLS) credentials.

Turketo has published thought leadership on Know Your Asset (KYA) compliance challenges in private markets, arguing that asset-level compliance is becoming a significant operational undertaking with direct implications for deal execution, risk management and regulatory confidence. She will play a critical role in advancing Carne's KYC on assets initiative and help US managers design private market and ETF fund structures for global distribution.
