Christine Lithgow

Christine Lithgow began her insurance career at Reed Stenhouse in the United Kingdom before moving to Canada in 1981. Over more than three decades with Aon and its predecessors, she became a prominent figure in Canada's insurance brokerage sector, progressing through senior positions in national, regional, and branch management roles.

In April 2011, Lithgow was appointed President of Aon Risk Solutions (Aon Reed Stenhouse) in Canada, bringing more than 30 years of experience in the insurance brokerage and risk management industry. She later served as President and CEO of Commercial Risk and Health for eight years before retiring in 2019 after 35 years with Aon.

Lithgow was named to Business Insurance magazine's 2013 Women to Watch list, recognized for her strategic and forward-thinking leadership that helped Aon address the changing environment of the insurance industry. She holds the designation of Honorary Chartered Insurance Professional from the Insurance Institute of Canada and earned her Canadian Risk Management Diploma in 1996. She also achieved the Chartered Insurance Practitioner credential from the Chartered Insurance Institute in 1995.

She studied Insurance and Risk Management at Glasgow Caledonian University from 1976 to 1979.
