Brendon Hopkins

Brendon Hopkins was appointed Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of Bank ABC effective February 1, 2026, transitioning from his role as Group Chief Financial Officer, a position he held since 2014. He holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Birmingham and an MBA from Henley Business School, and is a UK qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor.

Hopkins began his career at Deloitte and subsequently joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1995, where he held multiple senior roles. At Standard Chartered, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Europe from 1995 to 2008, overseeing approximately 2,000 staff across 20 countries, and Group Head of Strategy for the Western Hemisphere from 2009 to 2013. He also held the role of Group Head of Taxation.

Since joining Bank ABC in May 2014 as Group Chief Financial Officer, Hopkins has held global responsibilities in Finance, Strategy, M&A, Investor Relations, Balance Sheet Management, and Taxation. He led major initiatives including IFRS9 implementation, Basel liquidity compliance, and Enterprise Data Warehouse development.
