WhatsApp is a messaging service owned by Meta. Alessio Sanfilippo led data and user research for WhatsApp, work that shaped its United States growth strategy as the service passed 100 million monthly active users in the country.
Sanfilippo went on to become vice president of insights for Reality Labs at Meta, and in August 2026 was appointed chief executive of Redfin.
