Founded in 1958, Visa Inc. is an American multinational payment card services corporation headquartered in San Francisco, California. The company provides financial services in more than 200 countries and territories through an estimated 14,500 financial institutions, with branded cards accepted by more than 130 million businesses worldwide. Visa is one of the world's largest card payment companies.

Visa's annual revenue was $40.00 billion in fiscal year 2025, with annual revenue increasing $4.07 billion from $35.93 billion in 2024, representing 11.34% year-over-year growth. As of February 28, 2026, Visa has 30,026 employees. In 2023, the Visa network facilitated 276 billion transactions for a total volume of $15 trillion.

Ryan M. McInerney serves as Chief Executive Officer of Visa Inc. since February 1, 2023. Visa completed its acquisition of Pismo in 2024, a global cloud-native issuer processing and core banking platform that will provide clients with core banking and card-issuer processing capabilities across all product types via cloud native APIs. In September 2025, Visa elected Bill Ready, CEO of Pinterest since 2022, to its board of directors.
