Standard Chartered has appointed Rajesh Kannan as Managing Director, Head of Wealth and Retail Banking for UAE, International Banking EMEA, based in Dubai. He will also become a lead for the affluent global Indian segment and oversee international banking for EMEA. Kannan has been working at Standard Chartered for 25 years in various wealth management roles. He was most recently the bank’s Singapore-based Global Head of Affluent Segments and Distribution. His move to Dubai follows Ayesha Abbas, previously Head of Consumer Private and Business Banking UAE, being named Head of Affluent and Wealth, EMEA and UAE, earlier this month.
