Gulf Bank, one of Kuwait's leading financial institutions, has appointed two Kuwaiti banking leaders to senior executive positions, a move the bank framed as part of its long-term strategy and its commitment to advancing national talent. Faisal AlAdsani was named Deputy Chief Executive Officer, and Faisal AlGharabally was named General Manager of Corporate Banking and International Banking. Both appointments took effect on Thursday, July 9, 2026, following the submission of the respective nomination applications to the Central Bank of Kuwait.

The appointments strengthen the leadership structure at Gulf Bank as it pursues the goals set out in its 2030 strategy. The bank described the promotions as a reflection of its focus on building institutional capability and ensuring that experienced Kuwaiti banking professionals continue to hold central roles in its future growth.

Faisal Abdulwahab Yousef AlAdsani steps into the deputy chief executive role after serving as Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer since 2023. He joined Gulf Bank in 2004 and has accumulated close to 22 years of banking experience. Between 2021 and 2023 he was General Manager of the Corporate Banking Group, where he oversaw one of the bank's core business segments and its relationships with major corporate clients. He has completed executive programmes at INSEAD in France and the University of California, Berkeley.

Faisal Mohammed Sayed Ahmed AlGharabally has spent his entire banking career at Gulf Bank, bringing more than 25 years of experience, including nearly 18 years dedicated to corporate banking. He joined the bank in January 2001 in the Internal Audit Department before moving to the Corporate Banking Department in 2007. From there he advanced through a series of increasingly senior roles, ultimately reaching the position of Deputy General Manager of Corporate Banking prior to this appointment. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance from Kuwait University and an Executive MBA from INSEAD in France.

In his new role, AlGharabally will lead both the corporate banking and international banking functions, a remit the bank linked to his sector knowledge and his understanding of the needs of corporate clients in Kuwait and across regional and international markets. The combined mandate places responsibility for domestic corporate relationships and cross-border banking activity under a single general manager.

Gulf Bank is among the largest banks in Kuwait, offering consumer banking, wholesale banking and treasury services. The dual appointments continue a pattern of internal promotion at the institution, with both executives having risen through its ranks over careers spanning two decades or more. The bank tied the changes to its stated aim of empowering Kuwaiti nationals in senior leadership as it works toward its 2030 objectives.
