Bjørn Sibbern

Bjørn Sibbern has been the CEO of SIX since January 2025. Bjørn Sibbern will succeed Jos Dijsselhof, who will step down to pursue a new professional opportunity in the Middle East after seven years with SIX. The Danish citizen holds an Executive Master in Business Administration, a Graduate Diploma in Finance, and a Master in Business Administration and Commercial Law from Copenhagen Business School.

Previously, since joining SIX in January 2024, he led the stock exchange business as Global Head Exchanges and a Member of the Executive Board. In his role at SIX as Global Head of Exchanges, he had experience managing large teams in the fields of trading, funds, post-trade, listings, IPOs, data, index business, and technology. Before joining SIX, he served as Executive Vice President and President of European Markets at Nasdaq, in which role he led the Nasdaq markets and exchanges across the Nordic and Baltic regions.

While at Nasdaq's Global Information Services, he initiated Nasdaq's investment and oversaw the successful launch and first year of operations of Nasdaq's Futures Exchange (NFX). During his tenure in Global Information Services, Sibbern led the acquisitions of eVestment and Quandl. Before joining Nasdaq, Bjørn Sibbern was CEO at E*TRADE Bank Denmark from 2006 to 2008 and held key roles at OMX and Stocknet Norway. He also served on the board of the Committee for Corporate Governance under the Danish Ministry of Economic and Business Affairs while President of the Nasdaq Copenhagen exchange.
