Shane Heraty

Shane Heraty has been appointed Vice President and General Manager for Cisco Middle East, Africa, Türkiye, Romania and CIS (MEA–TRC), effective from May 1, 2026. He brings a 30-year background in global and regional technology, including more than 20 years at Cisco. In this role he will oversee Cisco's strategy and commercial operations in the region, helping customers and partners strengthen security, modernize workplaces, and build critical AI infrastructure.

Most recently, Heraty was MD of Cisco Africa, where he drove Cisco's investment strategy across the continent and fast-tracked the Cisco Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program in multiple African countries. He earned a Bachelor of Business Studies in Business from Dublin City University in 1998, and joined Cisco in 2005. Prior to Cisco, he held various positions at Siemens.

His proven success accelerating the CDA program across Africa demonstrates capability to drive digital transformation at scale across diverse geographies. His cross-functional experience spanning partner ecosystems, service providers, and enterprise organizations—combined with strategic M&A exposure through his Acacia board position—positions him to lead complex commercial operations and drive AI infrastructure buildout across one of Cisco's most strategically important regions.
