Sherif Tawfik

Overview

Sherif Tawfik was appointed Chief Business Officer at Core42 on March 31, 2026, a G42 company specializing in sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure. In his new role, he leads Core42's global commercial organization with end-to-end responsibility for global revenue-generating functions, including sales and marketing, business development, partnerships, and professional and managed services.

Tawfik joins Core42 with nearly three decades of leadership experience in the technology sector, including more than 25 years at Microsoft where he held senior executive roles across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. • Director, Commercial Partners for Small, Medium & Corporate Business, pioneering reorganization across the GCC

Sherif holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from Ain Shams University. He pursued a Computer Science Major in Engineering school, motivated by Microsoft's mission to bring PCs to every desk.

Outside of his role at Core42, Tawfik is also the Co-Founder and CEO of Fusion Minds AI, an initiative focused on advancing responsible AI adoption and applying generative AI to sustainability challenges. He successfully accelerated talent development and progression of over 300 individuals through a unique Center of Expertise within Microsoft.
