BANK OF SINGAPORE has hired Gaurav Sethia as a Managing Director in Dubai and reports to Salman Ahmed Bajwa, Managing Director. He covers the Middle East and Indian markets. Sethia was previously at Edmond de Rothschild, where he was a senior banker for just over a year. Prior to that he worked with UBP in Dubai and Bank Muscat in Oman. He has also held various roles in India, including working at the private banking division of HSBC in Mumbai. The bank also hired Jibu George as Head of Compliance for its DIFC branch. George was previously Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at LGT Private Bank for its Middle East business since 2017. He has over 25 years of experience in the UAE, and formerly held roles at Merrill Lynch, ABN Amro, Dresdner Bank and Barclays.
