Arnaud Leclercq

Arnaud Leclercq (born March 16, 1967) is a Swiss-based author and banker recognized as an expert in private wealth management in Russian markets. He was born in France on the shores of the English Channel and attended Collège Stanislas in Paris before pursuing studies in business law.

Educational Background: Leclercq holds a degree in Private Law from Paris II University, an MBA from HEC Paris, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. In 2012 he obtained his PhD summa cum laude from Paris I Sorbonne University. Since 2014, he has pioneered a Global Geopolitics curriculum for MBA students at HEC Paris.

Career History

• In the early 1990s, worked closely with the Senior Partner of a prominent Paris-based corporate law firm, contributing to the first major acquisitions and joint ventures in Eastern Europe
• At age 25, established his own consulting firm in Moscow providing legal advice to international corporations, serving clients including Unilever, Microsoft, Digital Equipment, Schlumberger, and Lazard
• Joined construction conglomerate Bouygues International following MBA graduation, undertaking assignments in Poland and Turkmenistan as Advisor to the Office of the President for international contracts
• In 2000, joined Credit Suisse as a private banker, where he became one of the 20 most senior Managing Directors
• July 2006 to present: Joined Lombard Odier as a private banker, becoming a Limited Partner and member of the Executive Committee

In 2007, Leclercq was recognized as "Outstanding Young Private Banker – Europe" at the Private Banker International Awards held in Singapore. From 2022 to 2025, he served as Chairman of Lombard Odier Middle East Ltd and member of the Executive Committee. He is currently Non-Executive Chairman of an asset management firm in the Gulf, having transitioned from his Group Managing Director role at Lombard Odier.
