Miguel Lujan Paletta

Miguel Lujan Paletta serves as President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Mercosur and the Americas, an organization founded in 1991, the same year Mercosur was established. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Paletta leads a private civil entity recognized by Mercosur member countries and works to bridge government policies with business objectives across the region.

Paletta was born October 6, 1949, in Junín, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and holds credentials in Business Administration and Foreign Trade. He began his industrial operations in Argentina in the cities of Junín and Mar Del Plata, before establishing himself in Brazil in 1985, where he worked in foreign trade. In 1991, with the Mercosur agreement, he founded the Mercosur Chamber of Commerce and Arbitration Court, which relocated to São Paulo in 1995.
