In August 2022, Yamamura was appointed Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MUFG Bank (Europe) N.V. His appointment reflected recognition of his expertise in strategic planning and extensive knowledge of the wider MUFG Group. Under his leadership of MUFG EMEA, the division achieved its target of 25% female representation in Director and Managing Director roles by 2025, one year ahead of schedule.
