IMDEX Asia returns to Singapore next spring, with organiser Experia Events confirming that the maritime defence and security exhibition will run from 4 to 6 May at the Changi Exhibition Centre on the island's eastern coastline.

The show is one of Asia's established meeting points for naval procurement, coastal and port security and the commercial marine supply chain, and it draws fleet staff, shipbuilders, systems integrators and port authorities into the same halls. For executives the attraction is the concentration of buyers. Defence and maritime budgets across the Asia Pacific are set through long programme cycles, and the exhibition is one of the few fixtures in the regional calendar where programme owners and their suppliers meet at scale and in person.

Experia Events has staged IMDEX Asia for more than a decade. The Singapore company took its current name in 2011, when Singapore Airshow and Events was renamed, and it has since built a portfolio of defence, aerospace and maritime shows alongside contract work for Singapore government agencies.

The Changi Exhibition Centre sits on a 65 hectare site about ten minutes from Changi Airport, with roughly 40,000 square metres of air conditioned exhibition space indoors and about 100,000 square metres outdoors. The venue is better known internationally as the home of the Singapore Airshow, and the same combination of halls and open apron suits an exhibition whose displays run from radar and communications systems to unmanned surface craft.
