Michelle Scrimgeour

Michelle Scrimgeour is an experienced business leader with broad international and cross-functional expertise gained over a long career in large and complex financial institutions. She served as Chief Executive Officer of Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) from 2019 to 2024, where LGIM managed €1.35 trillion of assets under management. During her tenure, she led transformational change in challenging business and macro environments, placing emphasis on organisational culture, developing people and strong risk management.

Scrimgeour was awarded a CBE in 2025 for services to the Asset Management industry. She has served as Deputy Chair of the Investment Association, Chair of the UK Government's Asset Management Taskforce Technology Working Group and was a member of the FCA's Practitioner Panel.
