CERAWeek 2027 Set for Houston as Energy Leadership Gathers in March

CERAWeek returns to Houston for its next edition, running from the eighth to the twelfth of March. The year is 2027.

The conference is the most senior annual gathering in the global energy industry. Chief executives of the major international and national oil companies, energy ministers, utility leaders, technology executives and institutional investors attend in numbers that make it a de facto meeting of the sector's leadership, and the agenda now runs well beyond hydrocarbons into power markets, electrification, hydrogen, carbon management and the energy demands of data centres.

Its significance for executives is that it sets the tone for the year. Positions taken on the Houston stage on capital discipline, on the pace of the energy transition and on the outlook for demand tend to be repeated through the subsequent earnings season, and the bilateral meetings held around the conference have historically preceded a meaningful share of the sector's corporate transactions.

Gulf participation has become central to the event. The national oil companies of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar send substantial delegations, and the region's sovereign wealth funds use the week to engage with North American energy and technology counterparties. For executives covering the Middle East, it is one of the few occasions where the full set of regional energy principals is accessible in one place outside the Gulf itself.

Houston hosts the conference, with sessions distributed across the city's downtown conference and hotel venues.
