AWS re:Invent Returns to Las Vegas for Five Days from Late November

AWS re:Invent runs in Las Vegas from the thirtieth of November to the fourth of December this year, Amazon Web Services' annual developer and customer conference and one of the largest enterprise technology gatherings held anywhere.

The conference has historically run across several properties on the Las Vegas Strip rather than a single convention centre, and the organiser names no venue on its main event page, so attendees should expect the campus format and plan transfers accordingly. The programme combines keynote sessions, in which the bulk of the year's service announcements are made, with several thousand technical breakout sessions, workshops and certification opportunities.

For senior executives rather than engineers, the significance of re:Invent is that it sets the agenda for enterprise cloud procurement for the following year. Amazon Web Services remains the largest cloud infrastructure provider by revenue, and the commitments it makes on stage, particularly around artificial intelligence infrastructure, custom silicon and data residency, tend to shape both competitor roadmaps and the negotiating position of large customers at renewal. The last several editions have been dominated by the economics of training and serving large models, and there is little sign of that changing.

Registration is paid and the event has sold out in advance in recent years.
