Yves Leduc

Yves Leduc is a seasoned executive with extensive international experience in strategic leadership, manufacturing, marketing, new product development, and operational excellence. He has successfully led global industrial manufacturing businesses across multiple sectors through various stages of growth, with marked expertise in bringing industrial technologies to market, developing robust supply chains and sales channels, scaling production capacity, implementing lean enterprise models, and ensuring efficient capital use. During his tenure as CEO of Torngat Metals from March 2025 to March 2026, Leduc provided leadership that positioned the Strange Lake Project as one of the world's premier rare earth developments and completed a feasibility study paving the way for its entry into the critical development phase.

Before joining Torngat Metals, he served as CEO of Velan Inc., a global valve engineering and manufacturing company, and became a partner at Idealist Capital, a private equity impact fund having raised 400 million CAD in capital commitment focused on accelerating the energy transition. He served as CEO of Velan Inc. from 2017 to 2021, starting with the company as President in 2015. In 2019, Leduc convinced Velan's board about the need for the V20 restructuring plan and led the transformation process, demonstrating remarkable leadership in steering the company through completing a major restructuring while facing the global pandemic.

Prior to joining Velan, he was at BRP Inc. for 16 years, where he initially held the role of VP Strategic Planning and eventually led the engine manufacturing division in Austria before returning to Canada as general manager of BRP's North America division. Prior to joining BRP, he held various roles with Bombardier and McKinsey & Company, and prior to McKinsey, he was a litigating attorney at Stikeman Elliott.

Leduc holds a law degree from the University of Montreal and a Master of Laws from Columbia University. He has been a member of TC Transcontinental's board of directors since 2017. He is also one of seven strategic advisor-limited partners of the Fonds de la Continuité Québécoise, a $150 million fund established and partially funded by the Quebec government to support promising businesses in need of urgent financing.
