Chris Doyle

Chris Doyle was appointed CEO of Bauer Media Audio Ireland in May 2024, capping a rapid rise through the ranks of the media company. He first joined Bauer Media in 2021 when German-owned Bauer acquired Denis O'Brien's Communicorp Group, of which Doyle was chief operating officer. After Simon Myciunka departed in May 2023 to become CEO of Bauer Media Audio UK, Doyle was named interim CEO.

During his tenure as interim CEO, Doyle oversaw the acquisitions of iRadio, Media Central and Beat 102-103 while successfully guiding the business to record JNLR listenership figures. These acquisitions positioned Bauer Media Audio Ireland as the Europe-wide digital commercial radio broadcaster's flagship operation in Ireland.

Doyle studied at Dublin Institute of Technology. He is described as 'highly respected in the media world' with an 'engaging leadership style' and 'ability to inspire teams to produce their best possible work'. Prior to his COO role at Communicorp, Doyle served as Group Operations Director. Doyle serves as a Board Member of the Irish Broadcasting Institute (IBI).
