Adnan Anwar

Adnan Anwar has spent much of the past 20 years at National Bank of Fujairah helping the bank navigate multiple crises and shape its digital evolution. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2010 and Deputy CEO in November 2020, before assuming the role of CEO in October 2024. He has been instrumental in the Bank's commercial success and is passionate about driving innovation and change for the benefit of customers and employees.

A chartered accountant by training, Anwar worked in Saudi Arabia's leasing sector before joining Standard Chartered in Pakistan. He was headhunted to take charge of finance for NBF about 20 years ago, and rose through the ranks to become chief financial officer in December 2005 at age 30. Adnan joined National Bank of Fujairah as the Head of Finance in December 2005.

Education

Adnan holds an Executive MBA with distinction from London Business School. He is a fellow member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (UK) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Pakistan).
