Jennifer Fulk, Chief Financial Officer of Kura Oncology

Kura Oncology has appointed Jennifer Fulk as its chief financial officer, effective 8 September 2026, adding a veteran biopharmaceutical finance executive to its senior leadership team as the company shifts from clinical development toward commercial operations. Fulk reports to Troy Wilson, the president, chief executive and chairman of Kura Oncology.

The appointment lands at a pivotal moment for the company. Kura recently secured United States regulatory approval for its menin inhibitor ziftomenib, marketed as KOMZIFTI, in relapsed or refractory NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukaemia, a milestone that turns the business into a commercial-stage oncology company for the first time. Fulk will lead capital allocation as the company builds out its commercial infrastructure and advances its pipeline, including ziftomenib and darlifarnib.

Fulk brings more than two decades of finance leadership across the life sciences and technology sectors. She joins Kura most recently from Soleno Therapeutics, where she served as chief financial officer. Earlier in her career she was chief financial officer of Talkspace and chief operating and financial officer of 120Water, roles that spanned public-company reporting, capital markets and operational management.

Before those positions she spent more than fifteen years at Eli Lilly, where her roles included chief financial officer of the company United States Bio-Medicines business, vice president of investor relations and executive director of global oncology finance. That combination of large-cap pharmaceutical experience and smaller-company leadership gives her a broad base for the transition Kura is now managing.

Kura Oncology is a clinical and now commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on precision medicines for cancer. The company has built its strategy around targeted therapies that address the underlying biology of specific tumour types, and the approval of ziftomenib validates a research programme that has been years in the making.

The move also reflects a broader pattern in biotechnology, where companies approaching their first commercial launch often recruit finance chiefs who have navigated the shift from spending heavily on research to generating and managing revenue. The experience of the new chief financial officer, spanning both a global pharmaceutical company and a series of smaller high-growth businesses, fits that brief, and it gives Kura a finance leader accustomed to the scrutiny of public markets.

For Fulk, the immediate task is to align the company financial planning with the demands of a commercial launch while continuing to fund clinical development. Her mandate spans investor communication, capital discipline and the operational scaling that a first commercial product requires. She holds a bachelor of science in information systems and a master of business administration from Indiana University.
