Flavio Piccolomini

Flavio Piccolomini is President of Marsh International and oversees all businesses of Marsh outside the United States of America and Canada. In February 2023, Marsh McLennan appointed him Marsh McLennan International CEO, a newly created role in which he leads a new collaborative effort to better serve clients and deliver innovative solutions at the intersections of the Company's four businesses: Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter and Oliver Wyman. He is based in London.

Born in Siena, Piccolomini brings 30 years of experience in insurance brokerage and risk advisory. He holds a degree in Business Administration (Economia Aziendale) from Università Bocconi in Milan. In 1990 he began his career at Willis Faber and Dumas (now Willis Towers Watson) in London, where he held several senior positions before relocating with his family to Italy in 2003 to serve as CEO of Willis Italia and then CEO of Willis Continental Europe.

He joined Marsh & McLennan Companies in March 2009 as CEO of Marsh Italy, and was subsequently appointed CEO of Southern Europe in September 2010, CEO of Continental Europe in December 2012 and President of Marsh International in September 2017. His area of responsibility comprises the UK and Ireland, Continental Europe, Asia, Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and Africa.
