The seventh International Healthcare, Medical Tourism Exhibition and Conference occupies Hall 5 of the venue. The exhibition and conference are framed around Oman's Health Vision 2040, bringing hospital groups, regulators, medical equipment suppliers and medical travel facilitators together over three days. The format combines a trade exhibition for equipment and services with a conference programme addressing healthcare policy and the development of medical tourism in the Sultanate.
For executives, IMTEC is the annual meeting point for hospital chief executives, Ministry of Health officials and healthcare investors in Oman. Hospital groups use it to review equipment and service suppliers, investors use it to assess opportunities created by Health Vision 2040, and medical travel facilitators use it to build referral relationships with Omani providers. Regulators use the conference to set out policy under the same vision.
