Aero India 2027 takes place at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru from 8 to 12 February 2027. The sixteenth edition of Asia's largest aerospace and defence exhibition is organised by the Department of Defence Production of India's Ministry of Defence. The first three days, 8 to 10 February, are reserved for business visitors, with the final two days open to the public.
The biennial show combines a static and flying display of military and civil aircraft with an exhibition of aerospace, defence and space companies and a programme of ministerial and industry seminars. It is the venue at which India's defence ministry and armed forces engage with domestic public sector undertakings, private Indian defence companies and the global primes seeking a share of one of the world's largest defence procurement budgets.
Recent editions have been dominated by India's push for indigenisation, with joint ventures, technology transfer agreements and offset partnerships announced during the show, alongside contracts for aircraft, engines, helicopters and unmanned systems. Civil aviation and space companies also use the event, given India's rapidly expanding airline fleets and its commercial space programme.
For chief executives and boards in aerospace, defence, space and precision manufacturing, Aero India is the key Indian venue for meeting government customers and prospective Indian partners in one place. Gulf defence and aviation companies, several of which have signed cooperation agreements with Indian counterparts, are a growing presence.
