Julie Hamilton, Chief Executive of Acclaim Wealth

Brisbane based wealth and superannuation business Acclaim Wealth has appointed Julie Hamilton as chief executive, the company confirmed on 31 August 2026. Hamilton joins from DDH Graham, where she had served as director of money market since 2008, following the departure of former chief executive Terry Constable, who left after almost three years at the helm to take on a new role at Infocus as executive general manager, platforms.

Hamilton brings more than 25 years of experience across wealth management, platform administration, licensee services and adviser support operations. She has held senior management and compliance roles at MLC, BDO Financial Planning, Synergy Capital Management and Macquarie Investment Management. Most recently at DDH Graham she oversaw strategic relationships, business development, product strategy, governance, compliance and operational initiatives across the business.

Board cites adviser relationships

Acclaim Wealth chair Ugo Di Girolamo said Hamilton experience placed the business in good stead. He said she brought a rare combination of strategic leadership, deep operational expertise and a genuine understanding of what advisers needed from their platform partner. Di Girolamo said Hamilton work at money market had already given her strong relationships across the Acclaim client and adviser communities and a deep appreciation of the qualities that made the business different. He said the board wanted a leader who could continue strengthening the Acclaim adviser proposition while maintaining the service standards its advisers and clients expected.

Di Girolamo also thanked Constable, saying he had played a pivotal role in shaping Acclaim Wealth into the adviser focused business it is today. He said Constable and Hamilton had already been working closely together to ensure a smooth handover, and thanked Constable for his leadership, dedication and contribution to the company.

Hamilton said she was pleased to be joining Acclaim Wealth at a pivotal time for the business. She said Acclaim had built a strong reputation for supporting advisers and delivering high quality outcomes for clients, and that she was looking forward to working with the board, executive team, employees and advisers to build on that foundation and continue driving growth and service excellence.

Trustee arrangements continue

Hamilton appointment follows the earlier appointment of Aimie West as Acclaim Wealth chief operating officer in a newly created role. Equity Trustees Superannuation Limited continues to act as trustee for Acclaim Wealth, even as its parent Equity Trustees works through a planned exit from the broader superannuation trustee business, a process the firm expects to complete by the end of the 2027 financial year. Acclaim Wealth said there was no change to the service of the fund or its members in the meantime.
