Alan Tyrrell

Alan Tyrrell holds a Masters in Strategic Management and a primary degree in business studies, along with a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors. He has nearly 20 years of experience in corporate reputation, C-suite support, and issues management, and has lectured at Masters of Journalism level on Corporate Communications.

Tyrrell worked for several years at PSG, a strategic communications firm, before it was acquired by Teneo, where his sectoral expertise spans insurance, food, banking, retail and professional services. As Managing Director Corporate at Teneo Ireland, he helped grow the business to two Dublin offices with approximately 75 employees as part of the global CEO advisory firm Teneo. He is also a non-Executive Board member with the Glencree Centre for Peace & Reconciliation.

His first real job was working in his father's commercial refrigeration business, where he learned lessons about quality, customer service, pricing, and teamwork, and learned the value of reputation to business success. Tyrrell joined The Reputations Agency on February 1, 2026, from Teneo, where he spent over 13 years helping clients in Ireland and internationally address reputation, culture, leadership, employer brand, and strategy challenges. He has significant expertise in issues and crisis communication, and has been deeply involved in helping clients manage M&A and restructuring challenges.
