Paula Huo has joined HSBC Saudi Arabia as the MD in investment banking advisory, based in Riyadh.
She previously held the position of director at Rothschild & Co in London, where she was involved in energy and power advisory. Before joining HSBC, she spent eight years at Bank of America, where she was a Director in the natural resources team.
Huo's transition to HSBC marks a significant move as she brings her extensive experience and expertise to the Middle East market, where she is expected to contribute to the growth of investment banking services.
According to Dealogic's investment banking scorecard, HSBC was the fifth ranked bank for IPOs, and the highest performing bank not to be native to the Middle East.
