Arqaam Capital is planning to open an office in Kuwait as part of a strategic partnership with Kuwaiti investor Bader Nasser Al-Kharafi and BNK Holding.

The planned office marks a significant step in Arqaam Capital’s regional expansion strategy and is aimed at strengthening its presence in one of the Gulf’s fastest-evolving financial markets.

The new office will enable it to work more closely with institutional, corporate and sovereign clients while expanding its role within Kuwait’s investment ecosystem.

The transaction includes a strategic investment by Al-Kharafi, owner of BNK Holding, as well as participation from National Investments Company (NIC), one of Kuwait’s leading investment firms.

The backing is expected to support Arqaam’s long-term growth ambitions in the country and across the wider GCC region.

‘Kuwait is a market of significant importance to us,’ said Riad Meliti, founder and chief executive of Arqaam Capital. ‘Our planned Kuwait office reflects our commitment to being closer to our clients and participating more actively in Kuwait’s evolving financial landscape.’

Al-Kharafi described the partnership as a vote of confidence in Arqaam’s growth prospects and cross-border business model. He said Kuwait stands to benefit from greater access to regional and international investment networks, advisory capabilities and financial market expertise.

He added that Kuwait is entering an important phase of economic development under the country’s Vision 2035 strategy, creating opportunities for institutions capable of combining international expertise with strong local partnerships.

The partnership is also expected to create opportunities for collaboration in investment banking, capital markets, asset management and strategic advisory services.
