Ahmad Al-Eidan

Ahmad Jaber Al-Eidan currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), a position he has held since November 2022. He holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Kuwait University, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in Kuwait's oil sector.

Al-Eidan joined KOC as a well site geologist and later became a development geologist before progressing to team leader of the prospect evaluation team and then team leader for fields development gas. He served as manager of the exploration group, leading geological, geophysical, and geochemical studies throughout the region. As Exploration Manager, he revolutionized KOC's approach by shifting from geographic to stratigraphic exploration, driving a wave of discoveries across Kuwait. He contributed to the discovery and first national production of gas and light oil from Jurassic reservoirs in North Kuwait.

Al-Eidan founded the Society of Exploration Geologists (SEG) – Middle East branch and served as its President from 2014 to 2017. Under his leadership, KOC has achieved significant operational milestones; in FY 2024–2025, the company achieved its highest heavy oil production since operations began in 2020, reaching 95,000 BOPD, with revenues of $13 billion.
