Carl von Halem

Carl von Halem was appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer of VERAXA Biotech AG on July 10, 2026, succeeding Torsten Bürgermeister. Von Halem is a finance executive, entrepreneur and board member with extensive experience in corporate finance, venture building, life sciences and technology-driven businesses. In his position as Interim Chief Financial Officer, he will act as the Company's principal financial officer and principal accounting officer until VERAXA identifies Bürgermeister's successor.

Von Halem began his professional career in the renewable energy sector with focus on product, finance and scaling, followed by work in a consulting boutique where he worked with young, fast-scaling companies and tech startups. Education

Carl von Halem holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Technical University (TU) Berlin. He also studied at the London School of Economics and Udayana University in Denpasar, Indonesia.
