Denise Lorenzo

Denise Lorenzo is a Director in Turnaround & Restructuring at AlixPartners, a New York-based management consulting firm specializing in complex corporate restructuring and financial advisory services. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Hofstra University and is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA).

Lorenzo has more than 20 years of financial and operational experience providing contingency planning, interim management, restructuring advisory, stakeholder management, counterparty negotiations, claims resolution, investigative and litigation services across a wide range of industries including public utility, retail, logistics and transportation, homebuilding, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, distribution, infrastructure, telecommunications, mortuary services, and specialty chemicals. She has expertise in advising management on how to efficiently plan, coordinate, and manage the Chapter 11 process and effectively communicate with critical stakeholders, with client revenues ranging from $150 million to $17 billion.

Lorenzo recently served as Board Chair of the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), and previously held the position of AIRA President. She was inducted as a Distinguished Fellow by AIRA in 2024, recognizing her years of service and contributions to the restructuring profession. Among her notable client engagements, Lorenzo advised Avaya, a $3.2 billion global technology company, during its successful restructuring, and served as associate director of finance for Cetera Financial Group during its restructuring.
