AXA IM Alts has announced the opening of its first Middle East office in the UAE, marking the company’s 16th office globally. This new regional office will focus on raising capital across AXA IM Alts’ range of private and alternative assets. Saudi national Ammar Bukhamsin has been appointed as the Senior Executive Officer of AXA IM Middle East and will co-head the MENA Client Group alongside Paris-based François Boissin.
Ammar Bukhamsin is a seasoned financial executive with a career spanning over two decades. Before joining AXA IM Alts, Bukhamsin held a series of senior roles in prominent global financial institutions. He spent over eight years at Natixis, including three years as the CEO for Saudi Arabia, where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s footprint in the region. Bukhamsin’s extensive experience also includes significant positions at Goldman Sachs, UBS, and Citi, where he excelled in senior sales roles. Known for his deep understanding of the financial markets and his strategic leadership, Bukhamsin is well-positioned to drive AXA IM Alts’ growth in the Middle East. Based in Abu Dhabi, he will leverage his extensive network and expertise to enhance the company’s regional presence.
