Dubai appoints 22 Chief AI Officers to boost high-tech drive

Dubai approved the appointment of 22 chief AI officers to major government departments on Sunday, aiming to advance a high-tech future vision.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, emphasized that leveraging artificial intelligence is crucial for establishing the emirate as a global leader in cutting-edge technology.

The appointed AI officers will be placed in government organizations such as Dubai Police, Dubai Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the Department of Economy and Tourism.

"Today, we approved the appointment of 22 Chief AI Officers in Dubai government entities as part of a future-driven vision focused on utilizing AI in government work," Sheikh Hamdan announced on social media.
