First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) has hired Sanjay Shah, as Head of Asia, Private Banking. He is based in Singapore.
Prior to this role, he briefly worked at Genius U and spent almost a decade at Westpac Group in various roles including head of premium and private wealth, international. Nimkar was also with Deutsche Bank and ABN AMRO based in Mumbai.
Shah, who left HSBC GPB earlier this year after six years in various roles, including desk head of international markets, is also an advisor to a Singapore-based external asset manager, Merliance Capital. He left the British lender alongside Mansie Virmani, who has since joined UBS GWM, looking after the Singapore market.
Abu Dhabi-based FAB has been strengthening its bench of bankers and investment advisors, having recently hired Nandeep Karande, a former vice president for investment advisory at 360 ONE Global in DIFC in July.
In 2023, FAB hired Michel Longhini from Edmond de Rothschild to lead its global private bank.
