Dubai Islamic Bank has hired Ali Ahmad as Chief of Investment Banking. He joins from Standard Chartered where he spent 22 years in various roles, most recently as Managing Director & Head of FIG Capital Markets, Africa & Middle East, a role he held in Dubai for over 14 years. Before this he was Executive Director, Capital Markets, MENAP having relocated from Pakistan where Ali had been Head of Capital Markets. He started his career with 6 years with Citibank in Pakistan where he was latterly Resident Vice President, Financial Institutions.
