Crédit Agricole CIB has hired Sofiane Bigdad as Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking Middle East & Africa. In this new role, I will be based in Dubai.
Sofiane previously spent 4 years with HSBC in Saudi Arabia where he was latterly promoted to Managing Director of M&A. He advised on strategic and cross-border M&A transactions across sectors, with a focus on regional flagship clients and several market-defining deals.
As I begin this next chapter with CACIB, I am enthusiastic about reconnecting with clients across MENA and continuing to build long-term, enduring partnerships grounded in trust and mutual value across the region.
Prior to this he was an Executive Director, Investment Banking, Consumer & Retail Sector Group at Nomura based in London having joined from HSBC where he was a Vice President, Investment Banking, Consumer & Retail Sector Group in London. He started his career at Duff & Phelps in Investment Banking, UK M&A Advisory.
Sofiane holds a Masters in Financial Engineering from Ecole de Management de la Sorbonne
