Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK) announced the appointed of Yaser Alsharifi as the new Group Chief Executive following the Bank’s announcement that Dr. AbdulRahman Saif will retire after sixteen years of which four were spent as Group Chief Executive. His last day was August 31, 2024.
Yaser Alsharifi has over 30 years’ experience in financial services across the GCC, Europe and the US, with past senior executive roles at Bahrain Islamic Bank where he was most recently the CEO, National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) as Group Chief Strategy Officer and at Al Rajhi Holdings.
He has also served as a Board Member of several leading institutions, Mr. Alsharifi is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
