Savills Middle East has appointed Toby Hall to spearhead its Commercial Agency Services, a move that reflects the growing momentum in the region's real estate sector, particularly within the UAE. With demand for commercial spaces surging, this appointment comes at a pivotal moment as Savills looks to strengthen its foothold in the fast-evolving market.
The UAE’s commercial real estate sector is experiencing a significant uptick, with a wave of leasing interest from both new entrants and expanding corporations. According to Savills’ latest market report, Dubai’s Grade A office spaces have seen rental values rise by 14% year-on-year as of Q1 2024, with some key markets witnessing increases between 20% and 30%. Similarly, demand in the industrial sector has soared, driven by inquiries from FMCG, logistics, retail, and e-commerce companies, leading to rental hikes across various micro-markets.
Toby Hall, a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience in both the UAE and London markets, will play a critical role in expanding Savills’ presence in commercial agency services. His immediate focus will be on building a robust landlord leasing and office sales business in the UAE. Additionally, Hall will advise Savills’ established regional teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader commercial strategy across the Middle East.
Hall's return to the UAE follows a 2.5-year stint in London, where he held senior roles, including Senior Director in JLL’s Central London office team and Partner at Kingly Partners, where he helped launch a new office leasing division focused on tenant representation, leasing, and flexible workspaces.
A qualified MRICS surveyor, Hall holds a BSc in Land Management and an MSc in Planning and Development from the University of Reading. His leadership in the region extends beyond his professional roles, having served as a Board Member and Chair of CoreNet Global’s Middle East Chapter and as a board member of the Middle East Council for Offices (MECO).
