Hassana Investment Company that manages the assets of GOSI - general Organization for Social Insurance, one of the largest pension funds in the world, with a diversified portfolio that includes local, quoted, and private investments in 100+ countries and valued at USD 320 billion, has hired Sabty Sulaiman Al-Sabty as CEO to lead the company.
He succeeds Saad Alfadly, who left Hassana after over a decade in the role and later joined Brookfield as Chairman of Saudi Arabia operations. Hani Al-Jehani, who has been serving as Hassana’s Acting CEO and Chief Investment Officer, will continue in the CIO role.
Al-Sabty began his career with PwC and then moved to the Saudi Capital Market Authority (CMA), where he held several positions until he headed the Listed Companies and Investment Products Department. More recently he headed local investment bank Riyad Capital.
He is also the Vice Chairman of Saudi Venture Capital Company and a Board Member of Saudi Tadawul Group, SNB Capital, Zakat, Tax & Customs Authority and the General Authority for Awqaf.
Al-Sabty holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from King Saud University, an MBA from Colorado Technical University, a Fellowship of the Saudi Authority of Chartered Accountants (SOCPA), and the U.S. Chartered Accountants Fellowship (CPA).
