Abu Dhabi Airports has officially named Elena Sorlini as its new managing director and chief executive officer.
Sorlini takes on this role permanently after acting as interim CEO since June 2023.
With over two decades of experience in the aviation sector, Sorlini brings a wealth of knowledge to her new position. Before joining Abu Dhabi Airports, she held several senior roles, including executive director of Transport and Logistics at ADQ, vice president of Group Corporate Strategy at Oman Aviation Group, and Strategy Director at Copenhagen Airports.
Additionally, Sorlini has served as vice president at Macquarie Airports, a major private airport operator globally. She is also a board member at Etihad Airways, Abu Dhabi Aviation, and ADQ Aviation and Aerospace Services.
Elena Sorlini expressed her enthusiasm for the new role, stating, “I am honoured to be officially appointed as the managing director and chief executive officer of Abu Dhabi Airports.
