BlackRock Investment Institute has relocated Senior Investment Strategist Ben Powell from Singapore to Dubai. Ben will take on the new role of Chief Middle East and APAC Investment Strategist. Ben will lead research unit’s regional initiatives while continuing to oversee activities in Asia Pacific. He had been APAC Investment Strategist in Singapore since 2019. The firm said his new role will allow BlackRock to serve clients in both regions better.
His newer responsibilities include building Middle East macroeconomic, markets and multi-asset class insights, while curating more region-specific content. Yazeed Almubarak, Managing Director, BlackRock Middle East said Powell’s expanded role helps to build a ‘Middle East asset management platform that capitalises on emerging investment opportunities across the region.’
